Last Wednesday we went in to town on the bus to have a look at the art gallery exhibition for Michael Parakowhai..
Inside the Ng gallery a lady was playing classical music on the most amazing carved piano. A guide told us all the stories that Michael had carved on the piano over 12 years. It was fabulous.
Then we went outside to look at the huge bulls made out of bronze. We all got to stand by our favourite one. They were so cool.
Thank you to Havana and Gordon for coming as parent helpers. We hope you enjoyed the exhibition as much as we did. Thanks Gordon for the photos.
Our class has 25 students from year 3 and 4. We are a multicultural class who all love working together.

Weaving Paper
We read a story about weaving and we wanted to have a go at it. So we got a piece of cardboard and some strips of paper and we followed the instructions in the book. We think that we did a very good job at following what we read. What do you think?

Snails
Kowhai were reading a journal story about snails and they had a lot of questions that the story did not answer. They went to the internet and to Encarta to see if they could answer these questions. This is what they found out about snails........some people had funny voices so they could sound like a TV scientist.
